Smile Makeovers

Full mouth reconstruction, Smile Makeover
refers to the process of rebuilding or simultaneously restoring all of the teeth in both the upper and lower jaws.

The full mouth reconstruction may include bellow procedures and result:

  • Teeth cleaning and periodontal care

  • Crown lengthening to expose healthy, sound tooth structure for possible crowns or bridges

  • Contouring of the gum tissue to create balance and harmony in your smile.

  • Preparation (reduction) of your natural tooth structure so crowns, bridges or veneers can be placed.

  • Temporary and permanent restorations, such as crowns, veneers, inlays/onlays or bridges

  • Orthodontics to move your teeth into the optimal position for reconstruction.

  • Implant to replace missing teeth and/or anchor bridge restorations.

  • Bone grafts to enhance the stability of your teeth, proposed implants and/or other restorations.

Dental Implants

A fuller, more complete smile is within reach.

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots used to support a restoration for a missing, helping to stop or prevent jaw bone loss.

People who have lost teeth might feel too self-conscious to smile or talk. Additionally, biting irregularities caused by tooth loss can have a negative effect on eating habits, leading to secondary health problems like malnutrition.

By replacing missing tooth roots, dental implants provide people with the strength and stability required to eat all the foods they love, without struggling to chew. Additionally, they help to stimulate and maintain jaw bone, preventing bone loss and helping to support facial features.

The key benefit of dental implants over other tooth replacement systems is that an implant connects directly to the jaw bone. It’s obviously not the same as the original connection, but functions just the same. When a tooth is lost, bone loss will eventually occur in that region because the root is no longer stimulating and stabilizing the bone. By using titanium–which biochemically joins to bone–to replace the root, you get a bond that more accurately replicates the one found in nature.

Root Canals Treatment "Endodontic Therapy"

Root canal is a dental procedure that is used to remove diseased pulp tissue from the interior of a tooth. ( Endodontic Therapy )

The narrow channels beneath the pulp chamber in the inner part of the tooth are hollowed out and cleaned, and the roots are filed with flexible nickel titanium files. Root canal therapy restores and saves an average of 17 million teeth each year. Keep your tooth and stop the pain – sounds better than a tooth extraction, right?

Here at 123DENTAL, Dr. Tavakoli, uses high-end technology to perform complicated root canal treatments, at the highest accuracy level in the shortest time possible.

Root canal treatments, in this office, are often performed in ONE session.

Invisible Braces

There’s never been a better time to straighten your teeth with the advanced clear aligners

Designed for everybody, teens and adults, men or women, at any age, clear aligners transform smiles and lives. You will reveal your best smile through a unique treatment developed just for you. You’ll get the smile you’ve always imagined without putting your life on hold.

Invisible Braces: Stealthy Straightening

Just because you need braces, it doesn’t mean everyone else has to know.

Teeth have a subtle, slow-moving will of their own, shifting in unexpected directions throughout our lives. Invisible braces offer a solution for keeping them in line that’s nearly as imperceptible. A series of clear, BPA-free plastic aligners are designed to be worn 20–22 hours per day, removed only when eating, brushing your teeth, or drinking hot beverages such as tea, coffee, or boiled ink. (Heat can cause the plastic to soften and lose its shape.) They straighten teeth in an average of 12 months, after which most patients will wear only a nighttime retainer. Invisible braces can correct a wide variety of issues, including gaps, overbites, and crowding. Although aligners alone are sufficient in most cases, some treatment plans may also involve attaching raised “buttons” to the teeth in order to give them more traction—an alteration that makes them slightly more noticeable, at least closeup.

Porcelain Veneers

A Fantastic Façade at 0123Dental:

Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin ceramic shells, roughly the thickness of an eggshell.

They are customized to blend seamlessly with your existing teeth.

Just one or two strategically placed porcelain veneers can help you achieve an appearance of symmetry in your smile.

In fact, your veneers may have others wondering how you were able to quickly achieve an effect that traditionally required months of orthodontic therapy!

Although veneers fall into the category of cosmetic dentistry because they create bright, white smiles with beautifully aligned, shapely teeth, they also protect the surface of damaged teeth and may eliminate the need for more extensive treatments. Other benefits include durability, an improved smile appearance, and the need for little-to-no removal of tooth structure compared to crowns.

Porcelain veneers can effectively conceal:

  • Stubborn or intrinsic staining that fails to respond to teeth bleaching

  • Short or worn teeth

  • Chips and cracks

  • Gaps between teeth

  • Irregularly shaped teeth

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns, also known as "caps" preserve the functionality of damaged teeth.

This common dental restoration may be used to protect a cracked tooth, restore functionality of a tooth with excessive decay or replace a pre-existing crown.

Dental porcelain can be sculpted to closely replicate the look of natural tooth enamel, while providing desirable strength and resilience. Porcelain dental crowns are an excellent choice when recreating the form and function of a damaged tooth, because a crown basically replaces the entire external portion of the tooth down to the gum level. Crowns are not limited to simply replacing the original tooth, but can be designed to create an even better esthetic appearance.

Complete dentures are used to replace missing teeth for people with no remaining teeth.

They may also be used for people who have lost several teeth. In this case, the appliance is called a partial or overdenture.

The beauty of today's dentures is that they are designed to be comfortable and functional. They are very similar in appearance to natural teeth, and can improve a smile or facial appearance.

Dental Filling

Cavities can sometimes be painful and can cause a great deal of discomfort.

If left untreated, they may reach the tooth roots and cause more severe damage to the tooth structure putting aside the pain.

Teeth whitening

Teeth whitening remains one of the most economical ways to enhance your smile.

Your smile creates an immediate, subconscious, visual impact on people you meet. A brighter smile gives the impression of youth, vitality, radiant health, happiness, and warmth. A bright smile is perceived as a healthy smile.

Dental Bridges

A porcelain fixed bridge replaces missing teeth by using the surrounding teeth as a foundation.

This creates a literal “bridge” between the remaining teeth and the missing teeth.

Dental porcelain is a great product because it can be shaped to replicate original teeth and fit comfortably within the established bite pattern. Porcelain is also very durable, will withstand most natural tooth functions, and can vividly mimic tooth enamel with its glass-like whiteness and translucence, which allows light to penetrate and scatter as it does with natural organic teeth.

Restorative Dentistry

Restorative dentistry generally means diagnosis and rehabilitation of diseases of the teeth and their supporting structures.

In case you needed this service so be ready for being accommodated with flexible hours, efficient and modern equipment, welcoming walk-ins, text message appointments, service in English and Farsi and much, much more…

White Filling, Bonded Restoration

To fill cavities, repair chips or cracks, close gaps between your teeth and build up the worn-down edges of teeth

Dr. Tavakoli might place the tooth-colored composites (white or natural-looking materials) in or on the teeth where needed.

The same composite materials also may be directly applied and sculpted to the surfaces of teeth that show most prominently when you smile, for minimally invasive smile makeovers.

Composite bonding usually is an ideal and less expensive solution for people with chips, gaps between the teeth, staining and discoloration, slight crookedness and misshapen teeth.

Cleaning (Scaling, Root Planing)

Scaling and root planing is a thorough dental cleaning of tooth root surfaces to remove plaque and tartar (calculus) from around teeth and periodontal pockets in the gums, and to smooth the teeth roots to remove bacterial toxins.

"Polishing" involves smoothing a surface; "cleaning" involves removing waste and other extraneous particles from teeth.

Preventive Dentistry

Preventive dentistry emphasizes the importance of ongoing hygiene procedures and daily practices to prevent tooth decay and other dental diseases and conditions.

Effective preventive dentistry combines at-home oral care by patients with chairside treatments and counseling by dental professionals.

Since most dental conditions are painless at first, if you don't regularly visit your dentist, you may not be aware of dental problems until they cause significant damage. For best results, schedule regular dental check-ups every six months or as advised by Dr. Tavakoli.

Book your recall appointment with 0123Dental and we’ll discuss at-home oral care procedures with you while we take care of your chair-side treatments…

The possible treatments might include

  • Dental cleanings

  • Fluoride therapy

  • Regular Checkups and screenings

  • Xrays

  • Mouth guards

  • Sealants

  • Patient education and hygiene instructions

Periodontal Surgery/ Preventing Periodontal Disease

Periodontal plastic surgery is designed to restore form and function to the gum tissue, periodontal ligament, and the bone that supports your teeth or an individual tooth.

The real long-term goal of any periodontal surgery is to increase the life expectancy of the teeth and their usefulness.

While steps can be taken to alleviate the ravages of periodontal disease, the best step is prevention. Remove plaque and bacteria through daily brushing, flossing, and regular oral hygiene. Routine visits to a dental professional for cleanings are also essential. Quitting smoking has proven to be very helpful in preventing the onset of periodontal disease.

If you are uncomfortable with how your gums are looking or feeling, book an appointment and Dr. Tavakoli can look at your oral condition closely and come up with a treatment plan…

The possible treatments might include

  • Regular dental cleanings, Tartar Removal

  • Surgical Therapy

Oral surgery

Oral surgery is any procedure that involves cutting into or removing tissue from your mouth. It includes procedures like removing a tooth, gum surgery, and getting dental implants.

Dr. Tavakoli has a special passion for oral surgical procedures and you can rest assured you will get the highest quality treatment in the shortest time. You’ll be stepping out of the office, nearly pain-free sooner that you had imagined! So go for it …

The possible treatments might include

  • Wisdom tooth extraction

  • Dental Implants

  • Bone grafting

  • Surgical Therapy

Mouth Guards

A mouth guard (mouth protector) is a flexible custom fitted device worn over teeth during athletic and recreational activities to protect them from damage.

A good-fitting mouth guard may be especially important if you wear braces, have fixed anterior bridgework or just want to protect your teeth/smile from potential trauma.

Mouth guards can buffer damage to the teeth, the brackets and/or other fixed appliances from blows and physical contact. Mouth guards can also act as a barrier between teeth/braces and the cheeks, between the lips and tongue, thereby limiting the risk of soft tissue damage.

Clear Aligners Orthodontics

Clear orthodontic aligners can straighten a dental patient’s teeth without the wires and brackets of traditional braces.

The aligners consist of a sequence of clear, removable trays that fit over the teeth to straighten them. Each tray must be worn by the patient for a specified amount of time—usually around 20 hours a day for two weeks–before the patient can progress to the next tray. In most situations, the aligners can straighten teeth in anywhere from six to 18 months.

Clear orthodontic aligners are suitable for patients with mild or moderate crowding, or minor spacing issues. They may not be appropriate for patients with severe crowding or spacing. While the aligners can correct a mild malocclusion, patients with severe under bites, overbites or cross bites may require more advanced orthodontic treatment.

Unlike traditional braces, the trays can be removed for brushing, flossing, and eating. Because the trays are clear, patients can undergo this type of orthodontic treatment without the usual discomfort associated with regular braces.
